The best thing about SketchUp is how extensible it is.
From a solid yet simple 3D graphics foundation, you can build any special thing your heart desires. Starting in 2007, I built a Building Information Modeling program for large building plumbing systems.
FlatText, DPLineStyler, and PrettyPrint were originally written for this BIM program, to produce big, complex construction documents ('blueprints') fast and with minimum fuss.
Scribbler was written for a landscape architect, and FTboxes was written for a trucking company guy. And maybe you?
My SketchUp plugins are available on SketchUp's Extension Warehouse, and at the SketchUcation PluginStore.
